An open-air dance festival, free of charge!!!

The fast-paced "SCENES OUVERTES DANSE" festival, organised by the town of Embrun and supported by the SUD Region, returns from Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June 2024 to rock the streets of Embrun town centre with grace and energy!

Dance in all its forms: demonstrations, shows, introductions, courses.

Dance for all tastes: Over 20 disciplines represented, including world, urban, modern, traditional, couple and sports dances, etc.

- 450 professional, semi-professional and amateur dancers in the streets of Embrun.
- 35 shows and events over the 3 days.
- Regional, national and departmental professional companies in contemporary dance, jazz, hip hop and flamenco.
- 27 Hautes-Alpes dance schools performing.
- Salsa, swing, lindy hop and tango dance evenings.
- Festive introductions to country dance, zumba, line dancing and capoeira in the squares
- Dance workshops in aerial dance: danse escalade, jazz/contemporary, hip hop, cardio dance, African dance (fee payable and booking required).
- More than 4,000 people attend the festival.

19h30-21h30 : SWING/LINDY HOP OPENING BALL (demos, initiations, dance floor, concert) with La Caravane Swing (Pl. Dosse)

20h30 : NEOCLASSIQUE BALLET " Vertiginous Lines " with Mouvance d'Art.

Interlude: Performance by the "Groupe Pierre de Lune", amateur contemporary dance company from the Hélixes-Gap association (Pl. Barthelon)

21h45: HIP HOP CHOREOGRAPHIC SHOW "Des-Unis" with the Bakhus company (Pl. Barthelon)

21h-23h30: LATINO DANCE EVENING with the Sol Y Danse association (Pl. St Marcellin)

15h30-21h30: Shows and introductions from 20 dance schools: classical dance, modern and urban dance, world dance, couple dance, sports dance (Pl. Barthelon, Mazelière, St Marcellin, Dosse)

20h30: African dance and percussion with dancer YAO accompanied by the Yebin association (Pl. St Marcellin ou Mazelière)

21h45: CONTEMPORARY AND URBAN DANCE SHOW "Viriles" with Cie Kynlaus (Pl. Barthelon)

22H-22H30: CONTEMPORARY ROCK DANCE DUO "My Little Rock" by choreographer JEAN-CLAUDE GALLOTTA (Pl. Barthelon)
