Description

Located in a beautiful mountain setting in the Hautes-Alpes, at an altitude of 1150m, the Boscondon Abbey is a remarkable XIIth century monument.

Overlooking the Serre-Ponçon Lake, in a unique Alpine setting, Boscodon Abbey is an imposing 12th century Romanesque building. The religious site grew up around its huge Romanesque church and chapel and its architectural style sits very well with its Alpine surroundings. Today, the Abbey is a site of pilgrimage that is open to the public and is managed by a religious community.
Visits at specific times in the summer, booking required at other times and group tours by appointment only.
